About Will Tumonis
Will Tumonis writes cold-blooded political satire focused on the Machiavellian arts of power. He has been always fascinated by how Machiavellian politicians and other cunning actors exploit the psychological weaknesses of everyone around them for their own gain.
Yet, while Tumonis likes to sound cynical, he is in fact a delusional idealist as he believes that the more everyone understands how devious Machiavellian types operate and how they exploit others’ psychological weaknesses, the more everyone will become resistant to such types.
Previously, Tumonis worked as an independent adviser specializing in decision-making and influence. He advised clients on psychological strategies that sway decisions in high-stakes negotiations, litigation, and the politics. It didn’t take him long to realize that often he loathed his work, but it took him surprisingly long time to realize that he hated it because it often involved manipulative approaches.
Prior to that, he briefly pursued an academic career as a researcher studying behavioral factors behind misguided and biased decisions in legal and political decision-making, but then he realized that his own decision to pursue an academic career was a misguided one.
